Are you looking for ways to reduce exposure to chemicals in, on, and around your body?
You’re in luck, cleaner nail polish is here!

I find that discovering “healthier” alternatives to our favorite beauty items is always exciting and I couldn’t wait to share some fantastic, cleaner nail polishes that hit the “mani-mark” in every way.
I love the look of well-manicured nails and find the time spent is just a bit spa-like and so very relaxing. So if you spend time and money looking your best, cleaner nail polish is a must!

Do you have a daughter who loves to wear a little nail art? If so, these nail polishes deliver the perfect pop of color while keeping us safe. They’re the perfect option for gals of all ages.

EDITED:
Since writing this post, I have stumbled upon ANOTHER cleaner polish source from none other than Sally Hansen!
The company itself has been around since 1957 but Sally Hansen came from a family with a heritage in the beauty industry (read her story here.)
The Good.Kind.Pure line launched in late 2019 and is 100% plant-based, vegan, and 16-free* and has some amazing reviews! They currently offer 36 colors as well as a top coat and nail hardener.
This type of innovation just shows that our voice is being heard! If one of the “beauty icon” companies can pivot and develop products with cleaner ingredients, we should expect to see more follow!

According to CÔTESHOP.com, their Cleaner Safer Beauty™ nail polishes and treatments “are created free of the major toxins & allergens that are often associated with nail polish.”

What’s hiding in your nail polish?

Lots of questionable stuff!
Ingredients like the following are either a known or suspected carcinogen, hormone disruptor, or allergen, hence, they should NOT be included in cleaner formulas.

Formaldehyde
Dibutyl Phthalate (DBT)
Toluene
Camphor
Formaldehyde Resin
TPHP (Triphenyl Phosphate)
Xylene
Ethyl Tosylamide
Parabens
Gluten

The 16-free* follows the CÔTE list below but eliminates the following as well:
Acetone
Styrene
Bisphenol A
Glycol Ether of Series E (Glycol ethers derived from ethylene oxide)
Nonylphenol ethoxylated
Sulfates
and of course animal-sourced ingredients as well.

In addition, if you are wearing polish, you know you’re going to eventually need to remove it. CÔTE offers an Acetone Free remover that I love. It easily wipes color off easily without drying-out nails and they offer a travel option too!

With over 120 colors available from CÔTE and a vegan, cruelty-free, hand-poured in the USA promise, you can polish up & feel good about those sparkly nails!
